Hotpanada

Hotpanada is a killer food truck that tucks itself away in a back corner of what used to be the K Mart shopping center at the corner of Kuser and White Horse Ave. If you see a line a dozen or more deep when you arrive, don't despair, the line moves quickly! Hotpanada is run by a husband and wife team who churn out some seriously delicious grub. They have over a dozen varieties that range from traditional to dessert, and they even have vegetarian and vegan options. Being a newbie, I set myself up with a variety pack to split with my wife: traditional beef, BBQ Chicken, a Cubanonada and a Jerseynada. Each one was more delicious than the last. I formally apologize to the ownership for having waited this long to try your fried deliciousness, but I shall repent by returning frequently to sample the rest of the menu!

The empanadas/pastelitos were really good. The first time I had the chicken and the egg roll. The chicken one reminded me of my late Mami’s. The seasoning was perfect. Thought I was eating my mom’s stash. The egg roll was true to an egg roll taste. I had the Mint Lemonade, it’s not sweet but also not bitter. It’s perfect, very refreshing in my opinion. The second time (lol a few days later) I had the philly which was paired with a small thing of cheese wiz and another egg roll. If you have time, definitely check them out.

We invited Hotpanada to serve at our corporate family day. They showed up on time, were friendly and professional, they had a great selection, and everyone loved the empanadas. I would definitely hire them again and hope to see them somewhere this summer!

The best empanadas from the sweetest couple! Very affordable and taste amazing. They have a wide variety, including salty and sweet selections. I recommend!

Not only the best empanadas in NJ but easily the best service and care for customers I've seen in a long time. Husband and wife duo, who run the place, go very much out of their way to make you feel like you're part of their family. Try it out and you'll be wondering why you hadn't gone sooner.

I would strongly recommend this place . The food was amazing and the owners were so friendly. As soon as I said it was my first time, they took the time to explain the menu and also recommended some items . After we got our food we were surprised with sweet treat they wanted us to try out as well ! I was very impressed by the service and kindness and will definitely be making this one of my favorites spots .

First, I think the empanadas are great. They have anice variety, including the specialty ones, and they're constantly working on other new stuff to add. I have always found them to be polite and pleasant when i go to get something. I will say that it's a food truck in a parking lot (DO NOT LET THIS DISSUADE YOU!). I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because they have let people wait in their cars during weather issues and they'll try to flag you. I've even seen them run food out sometimes.

I’ve been checking out Hotpanada’s website and Instagram for awhile, and today was the day I finally got my empanada! There are a lot of great choices of empanadas. However, I decided to go for a more traditional one and went with the beef empanada. It was seasoned well, had a good amount of filling and a tasty crispy shell! The size was good for me and I paired it with a salad. So, I definitely enjoyed my lunch today. I also tried the pineapple and ginger drink, it was good and had a kick. A line started as soon as their food truck was open for business at 11am, so definitely a popular place. The service is amazing, the owner is very kind and engages with the customers in line! Even with a line it moved pretty fast, so I didn’t wait too long! I live in PA now, but I go back to NJ a lot, so I’ll definitely be going back to Hotpanada! Thinking of trying the Cubana empanada next time!
